From Hopkinsville

Traveling north out of Hopkinsville on Highway 109 you should start your trip meter at the junction of the bypass and highway 109. Approximately 16 miles to the north (just past Durgin Country Store on the right) you will see the southern entrance to Pennyrile Forest on your left. Turn LEFT onto 1348 at the Pennyrile Forest Sign. You will travel for approx 2-1/4 miles over some rolling hills and at the next intersection, follow the road to the right then make a quick left into the old Nursery road. It is not marked and is an asphalt/gravel mixed surface road. Approximately 200 yards after you turn onto that road, turn left by the old Nursery building and the observing field is just beyond it.

From Dawson Springs

Traveling south on Highway 109 out of Dawson Springs, you will travel around 8 miles or so and PASS UP the first turn-off to Pennyrile Forest. You will take the SECOND turnoff into Pennyrile Forest (Highway 1348) to your right. You will travel for approx 2-1/4 miles over some rolling hills and at the next intersection, follow the road to the right then make a quick left into the old Nursery road. It is not marked and is an asphalt/gravel mixed surface road. Approximately 200 yards after you turn onto that road, turn left by the old Nursery building and the observing field is just beyond it.

From Pennyrile Parkway

Take exit 23 Hwy 800 West approx 1-1/4 mi. to Crofton. After crossing Hwy 41 continue approx 1/4 mi. and turn right on 1348. Continue on 1348 approx 8 mi. to Hwy 109. Turn left and the southern entrance to Pennyrile Forest will be approx 300 ft on your right. You will travel for approx 2-1/4 miles over some rolling hills and at the next intersection take a right then a quick left into the old Nursery road. It is not marked and is an asphalt/gravel mixed surface road. Approximately 200 yards after you turn onto that road, turn left by the old Nursery building and the observing field is just beyond it.

You will approach Pennyrile Forest on Highway 109 either coming north out of Hopkinsville or coming south out of Dawson Springs.
