Public Sidewalk Astronomy Events

May 01, 2009	8:00 PM	Sidewalk Astronomy Program	Downtown Dawson Springs, KY
	Some club members will be setting up their scopes on that Friday night at the kickoff for the town's seasonal "First Friday" event. Food vendors will possibly be there. Come join us. Mars & Saturn will be spectacular to observe. If it is cloudy, we will not be setting up equipment.

May 07, 2011	10:00 AM	Astronomy Day	Land Between Lakes, Golden Pond, KY
	Astronomy Day; A day to introduce the public to sky watching and to share the excitement of amateur astronomy. Free shows in the Golden Pond Planetarium, a lecture on getting started, equipment demonstrations, and solar observing. Activities begin at 10am at the LBL Visitor's Center and normally end around 4pm. Evening observing is an option and will be decided by club members who aren't worn out from the day's event.
